Proclaiming 2019 “The Year of The Curious Wine Drinker,” Vivino, the world’s most downloaded wine app, has recognized Wines of Israel’s rise to prominence among wine lovers intent on discovering new and unconventional regions, varieties, and winemaking philosophies.
Highlighting Israel’s unique Mediterranean style of Cabernets, Vivino’s 2020 Wine Style Awards recognized five Israeli producers’ offerings in their “Top 10,” using direct consumer scans, ratings, and on-app engagement to foreground the favorite offerings of this fast-growing category.
Israeli winners for 2020 include: Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon 2015; Lueria Cabernet Sauvignon 2016; Teperberg Essence Cabernet Sauvignon 2014; Bravdo Cabernet Sauvignon 2016; and Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, which is made by Golan Heights Winery.
