Wines of Israel makes a splash in Newport

Published: September 25, 2019

Earning an excited, inquisitive response from a crowd of more than one thousand wine-loving consumers, hospitality and beverage professionals, journalists, and local attendees, Wines of Israel delivered an exceptional, memorable showing at the 2019 Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival, with top visibility from the Welcome Reception and Wine Seminars all the way through to Sunday’s final pour. Friday’s formal Wine & Rosecliff Gala featured reds from Covenant Israel, Tulip Winery, and Segal Winery presented alongside some of the most elite, ultra-premium labels of Napa, Sonoma, Burgundy, and Italy in the glamorous setting of Rosecliff Mansion—and with the ballroom’s most central table, Wines of Israel achieved maximum recognition for the entirety of the evening. Again occupying a prime position at Saturday and Sunday’s Grand Tasting at the equally-lavish Marble House, Wines of Israel offered the single most ambitious wine experience of the weekend, with a team of four pouring twenty-seven top Israeli wines for an engaged and seemingly never-ending line of festival-goers. Attendees lingered at Wines of Israel’s spacious “Mediterranean Lounge” area—with the event’s best view of Newport’s famous ocean cliffs—far longer on average than at other wine booths, asking questions, posing for pictures, and tasting through custom-curated wine flights (or even all twenty-seven wines) while listening to corresponding explanations of terroir, winemaking style, and history.
