On September 12th, Wines of Israel hosted simultaneous masterclasses in Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago, with a theme of “Exploring the Unknown side of the Mediterranean.” Boston’s event was held at City Winery and led by WEST Diploma-holder and CMS Certified Sommelier Erika Frey, with wines from Golan Heights Winery, Tabor Winery, Kishor Winery, Jacques Capsouto Vineyards, Gva’ot Winery, Lueria Winery, Arza Winery, Yatir Winery, Tura Winery, and Alexander Winery. Led by Advanced Sommelier Erik Segelbaum, Philadelphia’s masterclass was held at Zahav restaurant and featured the wines of Covenant Israel Winery, Meishar Winery, Somek Estate Winery, Or Haganuz Winery, Ella Valley Vineyards, Bravdo Winery, Jerusalem Wineries, and Carmel Winery. Chicago’s seminar was led by Advanced Sommelier Rachel Speckan Driver, with wines from Recanati Winery, Maia, Five Stones Vineyards, Tulip Winery, Jezreel Valley Winery, Teperberg Winery, Barkan Winery, and Segal Winery.
